If your child is a fan of Alice in Wonderland, then you may be interested in dressing him or her up as a cheshire cat for Halloween. The Cheshire Cat was a charactor in Lewis Carroll's book, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and the subsequent movie, Alice in Wonderland.

In Alice in Wonderland, the Cheshire Cat can appear or disappear on its own accord and is best remembered for its smile, which at one point is the only visible element which remains of the cat. One of the many characters from Alice in Wonderland which have become ingrained in American culture, references to the Cheshire Cat have been seen throughout other books, tv shows, video games, and songs.
